Worship and Ceremonial Obligations
UWA is a multi-ethnic and multi-faith campus and actively promotes a culture of inclusivity and respect. There are over 60 different ethnic goups represented on campus, and Western Australia is considered the most multicultural state of Australia. The University provides worship facilities on campus for adherents of a number of religions. Most of these facilities are found in the Guild Village although the Muslim Prayer Rooms can be found at the northern end of the campus next to Winthrop Hall. The University also provides staff with the opportunity to take Ceremonial Leave for legitimate tribal/ceremonial purposes to meet the employee's customs, traditional law and participation in ceremonial activities. |
