Orientation Description:

The Teaching and Learning Orientation aims to provide new teaching staff with an overview of teaching and learning policy and practice at UWA as well as information on campus-wide services that support teaching and learning.

OVERVIEW - GENERIC SCHEDULE
1.00-1.20pm	Welcome address: An overview of Teaching and Learning policy and planning at UWA Associate Professor Jane Long Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning)
1.20-1.50pm	Developing your teaching for a successful academic career Professional Development eLearning Student Evaluation of Teaching Developing a teaching portfolio Professor Denise Chalmers, Director CATL & CATL staff
1.50-2.20pm	Supporting Student Learning @ UWA Academic Conduct @ UWA Dr Lee Partridge, Lecturer in Higher Education Development, CATL Supporting Student Learning TBC, LL&RS Collaborating with your Library TBC, Librarian
2.20-2.40pm	My Philosophy of Good Teaching - UWA Excellence in Teaching Award Recipient TBC (Faculty)
2.40-3.00pm	Teaching in Faculties & Schools: Integrating policy and practice TBC (Faculty)
3.00pm-onwards	All guests are invited to meet with Faculty representatives for Afternoon Tea outside the Lecture Theatre Chairs of Faculty Teaching and Learning Committees and/or CATLysts
